Trip to Ipoh and Cameron Highland

The following weekend after the trip for the first Lord's table at Kapit, I have the chance to attend another one at CH. As the first thing that came into my mind when I think of this is to visit the dear local saints at Tapah whom I have not contacted them since ages... Along with me, I have two brothers..

We departed to Ipoh at night on 14th may after my one hour of badminton game with my colleagues. We traveled quite lightly heading up north. Our ride was however smooth and we reached Ipoh at around 10.30pm. We had our supper at 'tong sui kai' near the town area.

Then, we returned to the meeting hall. Next day, we had our breakfast at a well known dim sum restaurant.

We tried out all the stuff and headed to the barber for a hair cut.

I had a new hair style and.... coooooll... feel younger than before. A brother mentioned that few gals keep peeping at me..

After that, me and my companions move on to buy some gifts and titbits at the old town.

Next we headed straight to Tapah, visiting the saints. Never meet for long time, although a bit awkward, but they still welcome us into their house. We had mutual shepherding, nourishing and sharing. We ended with simple prayer and continue with our journey. Next we went to another brother's house. After we entered into the bamboo house, used to be the meeting place for that district, we started to concern and care for one another.. and my two companions were playing with the cats... =.=' We had a lot of fellowship. After taken a pic, we started our journey to CH.

It was an exciting journey where the road are steep, and winding. I felt like driving a roller coaster, flinging my head left and right. I still can perform the action of one hand driving. Cool! but sigh, I dint 'piu yi'.

As we reached the place, we had our dinner together with the PJ saints. Then, we reach the dormitory to prepare ourselves for the meeting.

After the meeting, we headed to 'mamak' stall to chit chat. we had a nice chat, and finishing that, we headed back to our room to hit the sack. I can't sleep well because two lovely brother keep fellowship about believing or not about the mosquitos. The more they say, the more I have to believe it, because I get stunk by those insects. AAArrrggghhh!!!!

As the day dawn, after cleaning up, we had breakfast with brother NCL. I seated beside him, and we had a sweet fellowship.

It was a glorious day, as the meeting starts, all the saints from different places came to witness it. There were total of 520 saints witnessing it. He will gain the glory. The local saints were encouraged and most of them prophesied. I also went up to strengthen the burden what the brothers had spoken.

When the meeting ends, we journeyed back to PJ. It was a breathtaking and memorable trip.

Two kinds of walk in Galatians

This hymn is based on two verses from the book of Galatians:

Gal 5:16 -- But I say, Walk by the Spirit and you shall by no means fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Gal 5:25 -- If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

Trip to Sibu and Kapit

This is the first time to Sibu. After knowing that Kapit gonna have the first Lord's table meeting, brother WSW and I decided to witness the meeting. We managed to grab reasonable air-ticket to Sibu. Sibu a small inland town located at the confluence of the Rejang and Igan Rivers, a peaceful and quiet place to relax myself. A place that is free from pressure, strenuous, hectic city life.

We started our journey early in the morning at 5am rushing ourselves to the airport not to miss the 6.55am flight. We were just snoring the two hours journey to the destination.

Upon reaching Sibu, we get to meet our dear brother CHK who served us throughout the whole journey.. He brought us to many places and trying out different kind of stuff.. We just eat and eat...

In the evening, our dear bro drove us all the way to Bintangor about 45 minutes from Sibu. Bintangor a small town with only few rows of shops.

Then of course, we cannot miss out the famous Rojak in Bintangor.

We woke up very early the next day to catch the 6.15am express boat ride 150km up the Rejang river (longest river in Malaysia) to Kapit. The river is lined with small villages with traditional long-houses and thick virgin rainforest.

It took us about 3 hours to reach the destination. Kapit is a small logging town on the banks of the river. However, it is much bigger than what I expected. There are no roads in or out of the town, but there are roads around town and quite a number of cars about.

The location of the meeting hall.

Some brothers welcoming the saints from other localities.

The place that we had the first Lord's table meeting, the Dewan Suarah, Kapit.

Praise the Lord for His testimony here in Kapit. Glory be to Him!!

Before the meeting really ends, we rush to catch our return express boat. We managed to take some quick photos around :-)

Thanks to our brother who spent time from his busy schedules bringing us around. See, he is real busy.. lol..
